The Real Cost of Air Duct Cleaning in Maryland (2026)

Real numbers, not marketing numbers. From the owner of a Maryland duct company.

By Yaniv Asayag — Owner, Eagle Air Duct Cleaning. 14 years in the trade. · May 15, 2026

If you Googled "air duct cleaning Maryland" and found someone advertising $99, you already know the punchline. They show up, find a "problem" inside the system, and your invoice ends at $400-$600. We've been on calls where customers asked us to re-clean what one of those crews finished an hour earlier.

What honest Maryland pricing looks like

For a standard single-family home (3-4 bedrooms, one HVAC system, 8-12 vents), expect $299-$499 from a legitimate Maryland duct cleaner. Industry data backs this up: Angi pegs the Baltimore average at $368 with a typical range of $242-$496. The House Call Pro pricing guide cites $90-$125 per labor-hour and 3-8 hours of work.

What drives the price up

  • Multiple HVAC systems (each system is its own job)
  • More than 12 supply vents
  • Adding dryer vent cleaning (usually +$99 if done in the same visit)
  • Roof-access dryer vents (ladder safety = second tech)
  • Mold remediation (this is a separate scope — not a normal duct cleaning)
  • Aeroseal duct sealing (separate add-on, usually $1,500+)

What should be included at the honest base price

  • HEPA-cam pre-clean inspection of every vent (you should see this)
  • Negative-pressure HEPA vacuum cleaning of supply + return
  • Brush + air-whip agitation of duct walls
  • Air handler / blower compartment cleaning (not skipped)
  • Post-clean HEPA-cam verification of every vent
  • Written invoice with a single all-in number

What we do differently

Eagle ships a 3rd-party Indoor Air Quality Lab Report with every job — included, no extra charge. The lab is independent of us; the report is graded by people we don't pay per result. We're the only Maryland duct cleaner that does this.

We also publish our calculator. The number it gives you is the number you pay. We will not upsell you when our truck is in your driveway.

When the $99 special makes sense (rarely)

If you have a single-vent room (think: a basement office with one register) and no HVAC system upstream, a flat $99 can be honest pricing. For literally any other situation, treat $99 as a marketing hook designed to get a foot in your door.
